Keith Flint was Dancer #2 and that's about all he did at the time before later becoming the defacto "lead singer" and face of the band.įave Songs: Out Of Space and Fire (Sunrise Version), We Are The Ruffest and Weather Experience (Top Buzz Remix)ġ001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die Leeroy Thornhill was Dancer #1 and would sometimes play Keyboards. The other 2 members of the band were Dancers. The band at the time, consisted of basically 1 musical driving force in Liam Howlett, the composer/keyboardist/engineer/programmer and Maxim on Vocals/Rap. Slightly better but I still wouldn't listen to this one anytime soon. Expanded is more of the same but does offer a bit more in variation. I know hardcore Prodigy fans rank this right up their as their definitive album. Listening to it now, it just doesn't have the energy and the Metal/Rock/Techno of their more recent offerings. In fact I haven't listened to this since picking it up. And since I clearly don't go to raves anymore and haven't for years, I find little use for Experience - Expanded. Their debut falls into the Rave Music category.Īlthough I use to rave, it's not the type of music I would necessarily listen to outside of dancing. Prodigy incorporates many different types of music from Trance, Big Beat, Breakbeat, Hardcore Techno and Rave.
I was expecting to get something along the lines of FOTL and got something completely different. Experience - Expanded is what I picked up, along with Music for the Jilted Generation. One in 1992 and again with a double CD Expanded release in 2001. Experience, their debut album had 2 releases. I was so blown away by FOTL that I sought out their earlier stuff. I discovered Prodigy by way of Fat Of The Land late in the game of discovery.
